The Faculty of Claims, the new forum for the insurance industry's 100,000-strong claims community, was formally launched by the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters this week.

Chairman Jonathan Clark said that the faculty's aim was to shift the focus of qualifications to the customer by linking claims-handling skills with knowledge of the products actually sold.
