Ankara, 30 June: Turkey grew by 12.4 per cent in the first quarter of 2004. State Institute of Statistics (DIE) announced on Wednesday [30 June] the growth rate of Turkey for the first three months of this year as 12.4 per cent, a percentage "above the expectations."

The growth rate of Gross Domestic Product is announced as 10.1 per cent.
