CHENNAI, June 30 Asia Pulse - Allaying fears of Indian travel agents regarding bank guarantees for visas, the Malaysian Tourism Promotion Board (MTPB) said it would convey their views against the new system to the country's immigration department.

There were many reasons for introducing the guarantee, but "there is no question of penalising them (agents) for a case concerned with the passenger," MTPB Deputy Director General Mirza Mohammed Tayib said.

"We are recording the objections, but the final decision has to be taken by our Directorate of Immigration," he said replying to questions on the new condition for grant of Malaysian …
