modems sales help suga increase profits 11.9pc

Suga International Holdings has posted higher full-year earnings, helped by increased sales of routers and modems to its primary client, Beijing Harbour Networks.

Chairman and managing director Ng Chi-ho said he expected sales from the networking and telecommunications sectors to remain strong in the next 12 months.

Telecommunications accounted for 60 per cent of sales last year, compared with 45 per cent in the previous year.

Suga makes products for other companies such as Japan's NEC and Radio Systems of the United States. Michael Logan
