Outgoing Caloocan City Mayor Rey Malonzo has dared elected Mayor Enrico Echiverri to open the Bonifacio Monument Circle to motorists, predicting the new mayor's plan to undo his project would cause more traffic jams.

Echiverri has accepted the challenge.

The Monumento makeover begins tomorrow, right after Echiverri takes his oath of office also at the controversial landmark.

Echiverri told the Inquirer that road blocks on sidewalks along Edsa would be removed tomorrow as part of his plan to "redesign" the BMC.
