Most contemporary risk management strategies are built around the way it used to be. Like today, yesterday was a world of connections. We were bound together by geography, religions, cultures, crises and systems of communication.

However, in the past, corporations were more insular. Joint ventures were not as necessary or far-reaching. And corporations were predominantly organized in silos, each allowed to respond to internal and external events individually.
