Before Title IX, women were systematically excluded from athletics, so they got little experience as team members. Many of today's women leaders must purposefully work at learning how to build, lead and be part of a team.
Claudia Curry, director of the Women's Center at the Community College of Philadelphia, appreciates the power of teams.
