This thoroughly enjoyable collection finds Chicago-area flutist Mary Stolper collaborating with six fellow Chicagoans to perform duo compositions by seven Chicago composers. For the most part these are modern, but light pieces. Easley Blackwood's Rondo Caprice for Flute and Guitar (performed with Denis Azabagic, and presented here in its world premiere recording) is perhaps the most immediately accessible and lovely piece on the program, while the three selections from Robert Muczynski's Six Duos for flute and clarinet, op. 34 offer a drier melodic experience and Lita Grier's impressive 3X2 ...
