THE 3rd Ibero-American Film Festival is a rare opportunity to gain an insight into Latin American life and culture, writes GERALD CHUAH.

WHEN we think of films, we think of Hollywood. But there are other equally worthy international films we should consider, those that give an insight into another life or faraway culture.

The 3rd Ibero-American Film Festival, held at HELP Institute at Pusat Bandar Damansara from June 18 to 27, serves as a platform for such an entertainment and cultural exchange.

The festival celebrates the diversity of Ibero-American cinema with 16 films from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Portugal, Spain and Venezuela.
