The Mekong Enterprise Fund has invested $900,000 shares of Nam Hoa Production and Trading Corp., sending the latter's registered capital to more than VND21 billion ($l.33 million).

The primary share purchase can facilitate Nam Hoa's expansion plan, said Chris Freund, managing director of Mekong Capital, which manages the $18.5million fund.

"We're excited about our investment into Nam Hoa, he said. "The firm has established a firm foothold in wooden toy exports and we want to work closely with Nam Hoa as it expands into new markets while continuing to develop its management team and systems."
