Baghdad, 19 June: The US military Saturday [19 June] claimed targeting Abu Mus'ab al-Zarqawi's hideout in an air strike that left at least 19 people dead and several houses in the residential neighbourhood demolished.

Brigadier-General Mark Kimmitt, the military's deputy operations chief, said multiple intelligence sources suggested that "a significant number of people in the Zarqawi network" were in the house at the time of the attack.

Press reports quoted the Iraqi Health Ministry as saying at least 16 people were killed, while witnesses put the number of those killed at 20 people at …
