Section: Economy - The problem of high oil prices is likely to remain for an extended length of time. Higher oil prices have imposed adverse effects on the whole world. Everyone must accept the fact that low-cost oil will no longer be available in the future. The question is what people should do in the wake of the expensive oil price situation.

The Thailand Research Fund has released a report, prepared by the Thailand Trends Monitoring Project that explains the reasons for rising oil prices, cites impacts on the economy and offers suggestions. The report says that crude oil prices have increased by 25 percent in 2004. The situation …
