Just a European election. Only 40 per cent turnout. But once again an election Sunday has stirred up the political landscape. Instead of Joerg Haider, [independent candidate] Hans-Peter Martin took the winner's mantle after all. The populist, [who charges misuse of EU] expense money, relegated the Austrian Freedom Party [FPOe] to the role of an extra without much money but with the backing of the Kronen-Zeitung .
