South Central Division.(MTNA Division News)(Music Teachers National Association)
As outgoing division president, I give my best wishes to the incoming officers and my gratitude to those who have made my work with the division so rewarding. Often when we accept a post, we think of the work involved; but when our work has been completed, it's the people with whom we have worked who mean the most to us.
When I became president two years ago, MTNA was in its first year of appointing competition chairs to run the division competitions. June Leondar, NCTM, Fort Worth, Texas, fulfilled this task with care and efficiency. I want to thank June for her many hours of dedicated work, along with our competition coordinators Carol Ann Bell, NCTM, composition; Gloria Johnson, NCTM, junior; Gertrude Kincade, NCTM, senior; and Carolyn Adams, young artist and chamber music.
