Eastern Division.(MTNA Division News)
Eastern Division officers were installed at the recent Kansas City National Conference. Debra Martin, NCTM, New York, is the new president-elect.
Our featured state for this issue is New Jersey. President Deborah Gers has prepared the following article.
The New Jersey Piano Festival evaluated 607 students in March. During the March recital auditions, more than 1,500 students were adjudicated during a three weekend period.
In January NJMTA held its biennial concerto competition. Fourteen students were chosen as finalists. The three winners, who will perform with the Westfield Symphony in April under the direction of David Wroe, are Constance Lin Kaita, student of Ingrid Jacobson Clarfield, NCTM; Emily Choi, student of Michael Thomopoulos; and Andrew Nguyen, student of Veda Zuponcic.
The NJMTA conference will be held November 20-21 at Westminster ...
