Melvin Mora is off to another torrid start at the plate--he began the week leading the American League in batting at .379. Before a similar hot start last season, he probably was best known as the player whose wife gave birth to quintuplets (they turn 3 on July 28).
TSN: How are the kids doing?
MM: Everybody's doing great. Everybody's healthy. As long as my family is healthy, I'm happy.
TSN: Do you ever forget one of their names?
MM: No.
TSN: You must miss them when you're on the road, but secretly do you find it to be a bit of a relief to get away for a while on a road trip?
MM: No, I miss my family when I'm on the road. And I miss them when I'm at home at the ballpark. I wish they could be with me all the time. But there's nothing I can do about it. This is my job and how I support my family.
