INDIAN AVIATION MINISTRY TO DISCUSS EXPANSION PROPOSALS WITH PM
MUMBAI - The Civil Aviation Ministry said it will discuss the fleet expansion proposals of the national flag carrier Air India (AI) and domestic airlines Indian Airlines (IA) with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other leaders in the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA) at the Centre.
"We want to go about this expansion process in a transparent manner," federal Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel told reporters at the flagging off ceremony of AI's thrice-a-weekly Mumbai-Los Angeles flight here.
