ECGC TO LAUNCH INSURANCE PRODUCT FOR INDIAN SOFTWARE EXPORTERS

CHENNAI - State-owned Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India (ECGC) will launch an innovative insurance product aimed to protect IT companies from the risks in the software export business.

"We have designed a new product for software exporters. I am going to the board (of directors) for approval shortly and the product will be launched before July-end," P M A Hakeem, chairman and managing director, ECGC, told reporters here on Friday evening.
