On 9 May 2004, China National Chemical Corp (CNCC) was established. This is a state operated chemical conglomerate based on the merger between two state-owned chemical majors, China National Blue Star (Group) Corp and China Haohua Chemical Industrial (Group) Corp (CHC). Another part of the conglomerate is China National Chemical Information Centre (CNCIC), a subsidiary of CHC. The registered capital of CNCC is RMB 5.7 bn and has 100,000 employees.
