San Francisco, 6 June: Vice-President Annette Lu arrived in San Francisco Sunday for a stopover on her way back to Taiwan after a 14-day official visit to Republic of China diplomatic allies in Central America.

The vice-president was jointly greeted upon arrival by Chen Chien-jen, Taiwan's representative to the United States and a representative of the American Institute in Taiwan, an unofficial organization dealing with US-Taiwan relations.
