Brea-ResMAE Financial Corp., a wholesale specialty residential mortgage originator and servicer, said that R. Lester Pierce has joined the company as senior vice president, division manager.
Mr. Pierce has more than 25 years experience in wholesale and retail mortgage banking. Prior to joining ResMAE, he held positions at Long Beach Mortgage Co. as regional sales manager, senior vice president and regional vice president. He also served as Southern California's district manager for Transamerica Financial Services.
Calabasas-Countrywide Financial Corp. has added one executive and promoted three executives in the banking and insurance groups of the company.
Carlos Garcia has been promoted to executive managing director of banking and insurance operations for CFC. Having joined Countrywide in 1984, he has played an integral role in the expansion of the insurance and banking segments within the company and will continue to oversee the strategic direction and operation of these areas.
Andrew Gissinger III has been promoted to senior managing director and chief executive officer, banking and insurance group for CFC. In this role, he will provide oversight and strategic direction for all of Countrywide's insurance operations.
James S. Furash has been promoted to senior managing director for CFC. In addition, he continues to serve as president and chief executive officer of Countrywide Bank.
