* Former vice president urges election of party's candidates

Former Vice President Al Gore urged New Mexico voters who "feel robbed" by the 2000 presidential election to work hard to elect Democratic candidates in the Nov. 5 general election.

"Don't let up," Gore told about 400 people gathered at a get-out-the-vote rally for Democratic candidates. "Let's elect this Democratic ticket from the top to the bottom."

Gore was scheduled to speak at a similar rally in Las Cruces today after a $500-a-person fund-raiser in Albuquerque for Senate President Pro Tem Richard Romero, D-Albuquerque, the…
