SINGAPORE, June 1 Asia Pulse - Denso Corp. (TSE:6902) plans to improve its distribution efficiency within member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), in a bid to cut costs and accelerate delivery.
The company, which owns 13 manufacturing companies in those nations, plans to consolidate production of items that are currently made in each nation to specific regions, eyeing the benefits of an ASEAN Free Trade Area.
For instance, it will concentrate production of starters in Thailand, and that of electronic parts in Malaysia.
