TAIPEI, June 1 Asia Pulse - Taiwan's economy is promising in light of its performance over the past five months, Council for Economic Planning and Development (CEPD) Chairman Hu Cheng-sheng said Monday.
After attending an interpellation session at the Legislative Yuan, Hu told reporters that Taiwan's economy has continued to heat up, with a yellow-red light rating recorded for five consecutive months since last December.
In the CEPD's five-color grading system, a red light signifies an overheated economy, yellow-red indicates that the economy is heating up, green reflects steady growth, yellow-blue represents sluggishness and blue means recession.
