A MUCH more active week for very large crude carriers helped pushed rates higher and the outlook for the coming week is positive with more June business yet to be done.

In what was one of the busiest weeks of the year so far between 45 and 50 VLCCs were fixed last week.

With strong activity in the Far East freight rates eastbound from the Arabian Gulf pushed up to around W125 while on fixtures to the US Gulf rates were up to W100.
