CHIEF JUSTICE Hilario Davide Jr. has taken the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) to task for its "admitted failure'' to maintain accurate records of the contributions of judiciary employees.
Worse, the GSIS had taken the "wrong approach'' of requiring each of the 27,000 judiciary employees to submit documents to correct the inaccuracies in the GSIS records which were caused by the agency's own lack of prudence and foresight, Davide said.
In a two-page letter dated May 28 to GSIS president Winston Garcia , Davide said the GSIS' failure to maintain accurate records of premium and loan payments by court employees was a "violation of the trust fund doctrine.''
