AFTER nine months of waiting, Manila's traffic policemen feel they deserve a break.
An announcement from Metro Manila Development Authority Chair Bayani Fernando on Sunday said that it would pay this week their delayed commissions representing their share from fines paid by traffic violators.
"We are excitedly waiting for the money," said SPO2 Antonio Emmanuel, president of Manila's Finest Brotherhood Association and himself a traffic policeman. "Many of my colleagues are happy about the release because it's been nine months since we last received our commissions."
