KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 (Bernama) -- Telekom Malaysia Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary, TM International Sdn Bhd, is to form a joint venture with Singapore Technologies Telemedia Pte Ltd in a bid to acquire a strategic stake in Idea Cellular Ltd of India

Idea Cellular of India, which commenced operations in 1997, currently provides cellular services to some 2.4 million subscribers in its licensed areas in India, Telekom Malaysia said in a statement today.
