IN THE past one-year or so, there have been certain developments affecting the profession of company secretaries, which have not augured well for the members and the profession. These developments have put the profession back by a couple of years. Even the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is not in a position to convince the regulators from making these changes.
