CZ Strakonice (CZS) (Strakonice, Czech Republic), engineering company, has been looking for new contracts since 2003, mainly abroad. The company exports mainly cast iron castings, tools, automotive components and turbochargers. The volume of CZS's exports rose by 25% to CEK 614 mil in 2003 compared to 2002. The firm exports mainly to the UK, Germany and Russia. CZS is trying to compensate the loss of the production of gearboxes for the automotive company Skoda Auto (SA) (Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic) by the growth of exports.
