LUCKNOW: Senior BJP leader and former Uttar Pradesh CM Kalyan Singh resigned from the membership of the UP legislative Assembly following his election to the Lok Sabha.
Mr Singh submitted his resignation to the acting speaker of the Assembly Viqar Ahmad. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Bulandshahr on a BJP ticket.
Mr Singh said he resigned from the assembly on the directives of party high command. He will be entering the Lok Sabha for the first time said though he will be shifting to Delhi, he will continue to discharge his duties to strengthen the party in the state.
