The grand dame turns 50 this year. That this Italian beauty has a woman's name is no surprise. What's interesting is the different stories of how the name became stuck to the car.

One version claims that the name was suggested by the wife of Italian Leonardo Sinisgalli but the more interesting account tells of a remark by a Russian prince.
