IPOH, Sun. - In the wake of the traumatic abuse of Nirmala Bonat, another battered, bruised and starving Indonesian maid today summoned the courage to run away from her employer and seek help .
Asniar, 26, (who like many Indonesians has only one name) slipped away from her employer's house in Leboh Park, Taman Mansion here at 10.30am today, and sought help at a nearby guardhouse.
Seeing her famished after three days without food, and with bruises to her face, mouth, ears and neck, security guard L. Anantharow called the police and the New Straits Times to report Asniar's plight.
