Recent budget cuts hitting universities across the nation have many work/life managers scrambling to keep their office visible and alive. One way to save money and keep programs is to collaborate with other campus offices.
At the 10th annual conference of the College and University Work/Family Association (CUWFA) in Phoenix in February, Randi Shapiro and Ellen Blizinsky discussed how their Work/Life office at the University of Washington is using collaborations to stretch its resources and magnify its effect on the campus culture.
