RUGBY NEWS : Williams extends his Munster stay.

MUNSTER coach Alan Gaffney is set to offer a one year contract extension to skipper and former Wallaby Jim Williams.
However, definitely departing the Munster squad will be prop Simon Kerr and centre Jason Jones-Hughes.
Loyal and long serving full back Dominic Crotty is hanging up his boots while immenselytalented utility back Jeremy Staunton is on the verge of putting pen to paper with Zurich Premiership side Harlequins. Wasps and Saracens are others interested in this naturally gifted player for whom a move abroad could prove timely.
Meanwhile, former Terenure College, Shannon, Leinster, Munster and Leeds Tykesscrum-half Derek Hegarty has announced his retirement from professional rugby.
The 28-year-old Hegarty who rejoined Gary Ella's squad at the start of the season from Headingley will take time out to travel before deciding if he will resume playing again at alower level.
"I don't regret coming back to Dublin said the injury plagued scrum-half, I'm hoping to travel to South America and visit Argentina.
