FOREIGN Affairs Minister Brian Cowen and Palestinian chief negotiatorSaeb Erekat last night jointly condemned the latest Israeli attack in the Gaza strip.
The killing of children was completely unjustifiable, Mr Cowen said.
Mr Erekat said Amnesty International had described that deaths of 44 civilians, mostly school children, as a "war crime and State terror". Mr Cowen promised that he would contact international bodies, including the international committee of the Red Cross, inresponse to Palestinian appeals for humanitarian aid to Raffah, the scene of theslaughter.
Raffah has no hospital and only a tiny three-room clinic, Mr Erekat said in Dublin yesterday. Tents were needed to house the injured.
