During the month of June a number of antiques fairs are being held in London as well as the first London Sculpture Week. A shuttle bus is in operation for visitors attending the fairs, which are held at various venues.

The exhibition complex at Olympia is the site of three of the fairs. By far the largest is the Fine Art and Antiques Fair, which features more than four hundred dealers and runs from June 3 to 13. For the first time the event will be open every day, breaking with the tradition of closing on Monday. The HALI Fair, which is dedicated to carpets, textiles, and tribal art, also takes place from June 3 to 13, and the ABA International Antiquarian Book Fair will be held from June 3 to 6.

At the Commonwealth Centre the International Ceramics Fair and Seminar takes place from June 10 to 13. There is a loan exhibition of Meissen porcelain from the British Museum in London entitled The Glory of Saxony. It is the third loan to the fair from that institution, and like the others it has been organized by Aileen Dawson, who will also give one of the dozen lectures at the event.
