Byline: Mark Haines
MARK HAINES, CNBC ANCHOR: Bosses listen up, your employees are as addicted to net surfing as they are to their morning coffee, that is according to this year`s Web@Work study, done by Websense, the leading provider of employee Internet management software. Perhaps no surprise here, the survey also found a major discrepancy to what employees admit to doing at work and what IT managers think is happening on the corporate network. Joining us with more in another first on CNBC, Websense Chairman and CEO John Carrington.
Good morning sir, thanks for being with us.
JOHN CARRINGTON, CHMN. & CEO, WEBSENSE: Good morning. Thank you for having me.
HAINES: We should point out that your company makes software that allows companies to control what employees do on the net and therefore you do have a vested in interest in the outcome of the survey.
CARRINGTON: We certainly have a desire to understand what the unique applications are that employees are using as they download software from the Web and our reports help us better understand what the discrepancies are as you mentioned.
