THE importance of animal health and disease control in Northern Ireland was a key message highlighted today by Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr Ian Pearson, MP, in his speech at the DARD Breakfast event of the Balmoral Show.

In relation to animal health disease control, the Minister announced new standstill arrangements and commented on the value of partnerships between stakeholders and Government in tackling bio-security issues.
