Russian TV reports as doubt cast on UK denial of Iraq prisoner abuse.

Russian TV has highlighted "new facts" in the case of alleged prisoner abuse by UK forces in Iraq. It quoted a human rights report to the effect that "force is frequently used by the British armed forces during interrogations" in Iraq. With the Mirror editor under pressure to resign over the publication of photographs a minister has said are fake, will there be a repetition of resignations like those in the BBC over the "way Iraq events were covered"? The following is the text of a report from Russian Channel One TV's "Vremya" main evening news on 14 May:
