Pol Gen Chidchai Wannasathit, secretary-general of the Office of the Narcotics Control Board, is to be shifted back to the police force as deputy chief of national police. Pol Gen Chidchai will fill the slot left vacant by the resignation of Pol Gen Thawatchai Phailee, who reportedly will be appointed as an assistant to the transport minister. The transfer of Pol Gen Chidchai back to the police force has long been expected.
