Abstract
Management students often find motivation theories confusing, challenging to grasp, and difficult to apply to real-world situations. Often, students are reluctant to take basic motivation theories seriously, because students perceive them as "unrealistic." Therefore, motivation theories are best illustrated by example. The result is increased relevance, critical thinking, retention, and engagement.
