Profits up for slight majority
As noted last month, the results of the IPA Quarterly Economic Survey for the first quarter of 2002 are indicative of a recovering economy. Just as the sales figures presented last month exceed those for the last quarter of 2001 for a majority of survey respondents, profits also have increased for more than half of the survey participants. At the same time, a slightly smaller number of respondents expect an increase in profits for the second quarter of 2002. To gain additional information about the IPA and its Quarterly Economic Survey, contact the industry organization by phone at 800/255-8141 or visit www.ipa.org.
