Parliament has passed a Supplementary Appropriation Bill to release of 11.9m dollars to the meet the costs of flood relief, Ratu Mara's funeral and cover pay rises for members of parliament.
The Bill was tabled in the Lower House on Thursday [6 May] by Finance Minister Ratu Jone Kubuabola
Ratu Jone says these expenses include costs for the relief and rehabilitation works following the April flash-floods and the state funeral for the late former President Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara.
