THE third Association of Statutory Bodies Carnival, organised by Kuala Lumpur City Hall, was launched by Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium last Sunday.

About 4,000 participants and officers are taking part in the carnival which will end tomorrow.

Sixteen events are being held at various venues around the city.

The opening ceremony featured a cultural performance by 130 dancers, comprising City Hall staff.

Students and pupils from local schools won a big applause from thousands of spectators at the carnival.
