MANHATTAN - The Outstanding Senior Award from Kansas State University's College of Human Ecology is being presented to 12 graduating seniors.
Recipients of the award are selected from each academic area the college offers. The selections are made by faculty and are based on the students' academic achievements; leadership, participation and service on campus and in the community; and professional potential.
The following students, who all will receive bachelor's degrees at the College of Human Ecology commencement ceremony Saturday, May 22, are recipients of the Outstanding Senior Award:
Heather Duitsman, senior in kinesiology and athletic training, Atchison, is an honors list student and a recipient of the Kinesiology Scholarship Award for 2002-03 and 2003-04. She serves as a student athletic trainer for the K-State volleyball team, and has served in the same capacity with the K-State cheer squad and the university's track and field and cross country teams. She is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the National Athletic Trainers Association, the K-State chapter of the Student Trainers Association and the K-State Kinesiology Student…
