ATLANTA -- It's time to start calling patients back to the office for their routine tetanus boosters.
Aventis Pasteur Inc. has now produced a sufficient supply of the adult and adolescent tetanus-diphtheria (Td) vaccine to meet the demand for both critical care and regular 10-year boosters, Philip Hosbach of Aventis announced at a meeting of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.
The company had resumed supplying Td vaccine to physicians' offices in early May, but only for priority use.
