SEOUL, May 3 Asia Pulse - Citigroup, the world's biggest financial service company, said Friday it has succeeded in its bid to take over KorAm Bank (KSE:016830), South Korea's seventh-largest lender.
The U.S. financial giant secured 97.5 per cent of the Korean bank, including a 36.6-percent stake acquired from the bank's largest shareholder, the Carlyle Group, and 60.9 per cent secured through a tender offer, it said.
