SEOUL, May 3 Asia Pulse - The Chinese economy is expected to grow by 8 per cent, with domestic demand likely to remain robust, Finance and Economy Minister Lee Hun-jai said today.
Speaking to reporters at the Gwacheon Government Complex, Lee said measures by China to cool down its economy were preemptive, and that such measures will allow for a soft landing.
Although South Korea will be affected by this in the short run, he said, there was no need to overreact to China's moves. Lee said that preventing sharp growth on the mainland will likely help South Korea economically in the long run.
