TOKYO, May 3 Asia Pulse - The Japanese government plans to send a delegation to China soon for talks with North Korean officials over the communist state's abduction of Japanese citizens during the past few decades, a Japanese newspaper reported on Sunday.
The delegation will be led by Mitogi Yabunaka, director general of the Foreign Ministry's Asian and Oceanic Affairs Bureau, the Mainichi Shimbun said.
However, the paper did not give further details on the venue or schedule for the talks. They are reportedly to be held before a six-nation nuclear working group meeting in Beijing, scheduled to start on May 12.
